Kayla is a Comedy Writer with a passion for telling female-driven stories that celebrate hot messes. Because having all your shit together is boring.

After college, she spent seven years working as a Public Relations professional in New York City, during which she learned an invaluable lesson. She did not want to work in Public Relations.

Since committing to her dream of writing comedy for television, she has received multiple awards for her original pilot concepts, including: Best Comedy Pilot in the 2017-2018 UCLA Professional Program in Writing for TV Competition, and Second Place Winner in Stage 32’s Second Annual Comedy Writing Contest.

 She’s a born and bred New Yorker so she knows how to hustle, and she currently lives in LA so she no longer eats anything she likes. Hustle + Hangry = get shit done.
